Don’t Let Your Emotions Make Your Decisions

Don’t Let Your Emotions Make Your Decisions

THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK
When David told Joab and the rulers of the people to go and number Israel from Beersheba to Dan and bring the total number to him; God was displeased with David. As a result of David’s action, so many lives were lost.

In 1 Chronicles 21:1 (AMP) it reads, ”Satan [the adversary] stood up against Israel and incited David to count [the population of] Israel”

In the scripture mentioned earlier, we are told that it was Satan that stirred up David to count the Israelites. David’s action of having a head count in Israel was instigated by Satan. That action led to the death of 70,000 men in Israel in one day. It was a death that could have been avoided if only David had not taken that rash decision.

There are certain decisions that we take in life that can either make or mar our destiny. Some people have taken some rash decisions that destroyed years of hard work. There are homes that have been destroyed, relationships ruined, jobs lost, businesses damaged etc due to rash decisions that were taken in the past. Unfortunately, some of those rash decisions were stirred up by the enemy to bring about our downfall.

My brother or sister, are you presently being tempted to take a rash decision? Are you about to take a step that could make or destroy your destiny?

Please hear God’s word for you; God says be still, study His Word, meditate on it and pray; and it won’t be long, that rash decision you could have taken will be discarded.

I pray for you that you will be delivered from every rash decision that wants to destroy your life, marriage, career, finances, relationships, businesses etc in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

Wishing you a blissful week.

Your brother
Chuka Duru
