Book’s Purpose
The author emphasises that this book helps readers understand Christmas as God’s gift to humanity and respond appropriately to it.
- Goes beyond the commercial aspects of Christmas (gifts, festive season) to explain the deeper meaning
- Addresses fundamental questions: Why did Jesus have to come? How does a birth 2,000 years ago affect people in the 21st century?
- Makes ancient events relevant to modern readers
Target Audience
- Many young people, including Christians, don’t understand the significance of Christmas
- Christianity has become merely a “religious activity” for some without personal impact
- Young adults at the “age of accountability” need to understand the role Jesus’s birth plays in their lives
Philosophy on Children Education
- Believes in starting early with faith education
- Children naturally ask “why” questions and deserve truthful answers
- Wants children to choose faith personally rather than just following parents
- Aims to help children have their own personal encounter with faith
