No More Limitations

FOCAL SCRIPTURE: “When they were getting near to Jerusalem, to Bethphage and Bethany at the Mount of Olives, He sent ahead two of his disciples and instructed them, Go into the village in front of you, and as soon as you enter it, you will find a colt tied, which has never been ridden by anyone; unfasten it and bring it here….. And they brought the colt to Jesus and threw their outer garments upon it, and He sat on it. And many (of the people) spread their garments on the road, and others (scattered a layer of) leafy branches which they had cut from the fields”(Mark 11:1, 2, 7, 8)

In our focal scripture for this week, we were told that Jesus Christ sent two of his disciples ahead of him and instructed them to go and untie a colt. This colt will later serve as the colt on which Jesus rode triumphantly into Jerusalem. In addition, the colt enjoyed a special treatment when people spread their garments and scattered leaves for it to ride on.
Brothers and sisters, it would have been very wrong if the future prospect of the colt on which Jesus rode triumphantly into Jerusalem was judged by its chained and limited present condition. The present chains of the colt did not mean that there was no hope for it in the future.

The question is why would a colt which has been destined for so much greatness be so chained in the present?

Brothers and sisters, many of us are like that. Destined for greatness, yet limited in the present. Some have dreamed of the great height to which God is taking them, yet all they can see around them now are chains, limitations, challenges, difficulties, poverty etc

My brother and sister is that you? God is saying to you today, “Relax”. Where you are presently is not your final bus stop. God says the final verdict of your future does not lie in your present chains, circumstances, limitations etc. It lies with God. He says, He has destined you for greatness and no amount of your present chains, limitations, challenges, difficulties etc will stop your march to greatness

My brother and sister, your present crisis does not mean a future hopelessness for you. God is taking you higher in Jesus name.

I pray for you that nothing will stop of you from reaching the height or level that God has destined for your life in the name of Jesus Christ.

Wishing you a glorious week

Your brother
Chuka Duru
