WISDOM IN EVERYTHING

WISDOM IN EVERYTHING

THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK
Focal Scripture: “A fool expresses all his emotions, but a wise person controls them” Proverbs 29:11(GWT)

There are people who cannot control the words that come out from their mouth. They say whatever they think at any time without minding if it is hurtful or not. Indeed, they pride themselves of being outspoken or blunt. Although, this behavior may have its positives; however in our focal scripture, such people are regarded as fools.

Some people have destroyed their home, relationship, career, business, ministry etc just because of what was said in the heat of an argument. Some have destroyed all their years of hard work because they could not control their emotions

My brothers and sisters, it is wisdom to exercise restraint with your emotions. Exercise wisdom by saying the right things at the right time, in the right context and with the right content.

James 1:19 (NIV) sums it up this way, “Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry”

I pray that you receive grace to control your emotions in the name of Jesus Christ.

Wishing you a wonderful week

Your brother
Chuka Duru
