Ways to Know That You are Growing Spiritually
- You find it so easy to forgive – Luke 6:37, 1 Corinthians 14:20
- The degree to which you are becoming more like Christ – Ephesians 4:14-15; Galatians 4:19
- A growing ability to obey God’s voice – John 14:21; John 10:27
- Quick to listen, slow to speak, slow to get angry or react – Proverbs 29:20
- Finding it increasingly easier to stand on God’s word, especially in difficult circumstances – Romans 1:17
THE HOW-TO SPIRITUAL GROWTH
Be planted in a church – Psalm 92:13-15; Ephesians 4:11-12.
If your goal is spiritual growth, you simply cannot neglect being united to a well-ordered, biblically faithful church
Total surrender to God – Mark 2:14; John 3:30
Dying to self – John 12:24; Isaiah 53:7
Spending time with the word of God – 1 Peter 2:2; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; Joshua 1:8; Psalm 1:1-3; Romans 10:17; Revelations 1:3
Spending time in prayer – 1 Thessalonians 5:17; Luke 18:1; Luke 9:29
