Walk in Faith

FOCUS SCRIPTURE: “He said to Abram, I am the Lord who led you from Ur of Babylonia. I did this so that I could give you this land. You will own this land” (Genesis 15:7)

When God promised Abraham that He will bless him and make him the father of many nations; it was not going to come for free. He needed to come out of something in order to gain what God had in stock for him.

In our focal scripture, God had to bring Abraham out of the Ur of Babylonia before he could give him his own land. The Ur of Babylonia was renowned for idol worship. In other words, Abraham had to come out of a place of idolatry in order to possess what God had for him.

It’s unfortunate that many Christians desire God’s blessing upon their lives, but are not willing to come out of some things that are hindrances to their blessing. There are people who need to come out from the bad relationships they are in so that God can give them a godly one. For some other people, they may have to come out of that job in order for God to give them their own business. Others may need to leave behind their worldly principles, values and thinking so that they can become spiritual.

Abraham had to come out of the Ur of Babylonia before God could give him his land. Brothers and sisters, what do you have to leave behind in order to become all that God has destined you to be?

Brothers and sisters, it is time to come out in faith like Abraham and step into your future.

I pray that you receive grace to come out of anything that will hinder God’s plan for your life in the name of Jesus Christ.

Your brother
Chuka Duru
